2026 West Hartford Garden Tour & Plant Sale / “THE VOICE OF THE GARDEN”
Thank you to all who helped make the West Hartford Garden Club’s 17th Garden Tour on May 30, 2026, a wonderful success. We were delighted to welcome so many guests to experience six unique private gardens across West Hartford, each offering its own beauty and inspiration.
Guided by Elizabeth Lawrence’s words, “The hum of the bees is the voice of the garden,” this year’s tour invited visitors to slow down and experience the gardens through all their senses. From buzzing pollinators and rustling leaves to vibrant blooms and tranquil garden paths, each space shared its own quiet, living story.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the generous homeowners who opened their gardens, as well as to the many volunteers, planners, and supporters whose time, creativity, and dedication made this event possible. Your efforts brought this celebration of gardens—past, present, and future—to life.
It was especially meaningful to highlight gardens that support pollinators and encourage sustainable practices, inspiring all of us to carry these ideas into our own landscapes.
We are proud of what we accomplished together and deeply appreciate the community spirit that made this tour so memorable. We look forward to welcoming you again for our future 2028 garden tour.

Memories from June 1, 2024 Garden Tour
West Hartford is a diverse town, culturally and in the makeup of our neighborhoods. The six gardens selected for our 2024 West Hartford Garden Club Garden Tour reflected that diversity. These gardens included unexpected plant combinations, rich in color and texture … woodland gardens that demand shade loving plants… the use of sculpture and miniatures … a formal sunken garden with mature plantings…free-form pools with water-loving perennials–all six locations included an unexpected element that inspired our theme: “Secret Gardens Revealed.”
