The West Hartford Garden Club

Garden Tour

Saturday, May 30, 2026, (rain or shine) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

COMING SOON! Tickets will be available on April 15, 2026 at this link.

The West Hartford Garden Club is hosting its 17th garden tour in 2026, showcasing six unique West Hartford private gardens!

Inspired by the quote from Elizabeth Lawrence, “The hum of the bees is the voice of the garden,” this tour invites our guests to slow down and listen – not just with their ears, but with their senses.

Each garden space reveals how life, growth, and beauty are communicated in quiet, powerful ways: through buzzing bees, rustling leaves, blooming petals, flowing water and the rhythm of the natural world. Explore how every plant, pollinator, and path contributes to the garden’s gentle symphony.

The Garden Tour will celebrate gardens through the generations, honoring the past and looking forward to new trends in gardening. Many of our gardens feature pollinators that support our ecosystem and encourage us to consider using specific plants in our own gardens.

Tickets: The six private gardens will require a ticket and are open to adults and children over 12. No pets please.

Tickets can be purchased online through the Noah Webster House or in person at Moscarillo’s Garden Shoppe (2600 Albany Avenue, West Hartford). Online tickets purchased can be redeemed for the physical program booklet and ticket on the day of the event at St. James’s Episcopal Church (1018 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford).

Tickets go on sale April 15, 2026 through May 25, 2026 and cost $20. After May 25, the cost increases to $25 and can be purchased on the day of the tour. Day-of-tour tickets will only be available in person at St. James’s Episcopal Church.

Plant Sale: Along with ticket sales, there will be a plant sale throughout the day at St. James’s Episcopal Church (no ticket required). Plants are donated by West Hartford Garden Club members, some of whom will be at the sale to answer questions and encourage new gardeners.

Your ticket and other purchases support the West Hartford Garden Club’s mission and enables us to give back to the community.

Thank you!

Memories from June 1, 2024 Garden Tour

West Hartford is a diverse town, culturally and in the makeup of our neighborhoods. The six gardens selected for our 2024 West Hartford Garden Club Garden Tour reflected that diversity. These gardens included unexpected plant combinations, rich in color and texture … woodland gardens that demand shade loving plants… the use of sculpture and miniatures … a formal sunken garden with mature plantings…free-form pools with water-loving perennials–all six locations included an unexpected element that inspired our theme: “Secret Gardens Revealed.”
