Floral Design Workshop

The Floral Design Committee is pleased to announce that the Club’s first floral design class of 2026-2027, “Principles of Horizontal Design,” will be held on Thursday, September 24 from 2:00 to 3:30 pm at the Noah Webster House. Because this is a required class, new members will be given preference.
The workshop will cover the basics of creating a traditional horizontal design including:
– Basic terminology
– “Greening in”
– “Radial design”
– Using floral foam (Oasis)
– Outlining the design with floral materials
– Flower placement
– Lots of helpful hints
– Hands on practice
You will find the principles are very helpful as you create centerpieces and other low arrangements in the future.
