Civic Projects – Weeding
We’ll meet at the back parking lot entrance.
The native pollinator garden along the walkway needs some
attention—mostly crabgrass and smartweed. With a small team, the work
should go quickly, and we may even have time to pull a few weeds by
the Oakwood Avenue entrance to the Charter Oak International Academy
(COIA) as well.
What to bring:
Gardening hat & gloves
Knee pad (if you use one)
Water bottle
Leaf bag for debris
Tools you might want to use to pull any larger weeds
I’ll also bring paper bags for collecting seeds from the gardens.
These will support our Seed Saving/Seed Sharing event at Noah Webster
Public Library, the Winter Sowing program in January, and the Seed
Library. If you’ve already been gathering seeds for our club’s
outreach, feel free to bring them so I can set them aside.
