Civic Projects – Charter Oak Planting
April 30 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
On Thursday we’ll be at Charter Oak International Academy from 12:00–2:00 PM for a native pollinator planting work session—hope you can join us! 4th and 5th graders will help!
What we’re planting: 15 Bearberry (Arctostaphylos uca-ursi), 4 Creeping Juniper (Juniperus horizontalis), and 4 Dwarf Larkspur (Delphinium tricorne).
Where: Please head for the big parking lot behind the building or park on Flatbush Avenue. We will be planting along the edge of the sidewalk to the back entrance.
What to wear / bring
- Long sleeves, long pants (tuck pants into socks if you can)
- garden shoes and gloves
- Sun hat and sunscreen; insect repellent (I’ll bring extras)
- Spade/shovel if you have one and wheelbarrow for mulch if you have one
We’d love your help on Thursday. Please reply if you think you can make it.
