Polar vortex. Siberian cold. Snow. Ice. Freezing Rain. UGH!
The Federated Garden Clubs has just the thing to turn your thoughts to budding trees, flowering gardens and emerging vegetables — the 96th Annual Meeting and Luncheon on Wednesday, April 16.
Our speaker will be Larry Weaner, a landscape designer, who is sure to get our creative thoughts flowing. The Federation will also install our new slate of officers, headed by Nan Merolla as President.
The luncheon will be at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville and will again feature a terrific lineup of vendors. Come at 9 a.m. to give yourself some time to register, greet friends, check out the raffle, and shop before we begin the program at 10 a.m.
Please plan to give us at least one hour of your time during the morning. Please bring your favorite tools for weeding and pruning. A co-chair will arrive at the garden by 8:30 a.m.
PARKING: Parking will be in the paved lot next to the Amos Bull House on South Prospect Street. We encourage you to carpool as space is limited.
We plan to work if the rain is light. If it is pouring, you will get a cancellation call by 8:00 a.m.
• If you are unable to work on your signup date, please let me know so that we can reschedule you and help you find a replacement for your shift.
