This fun and informative program, led by Hartford Properties Site Administrator, Jana Colacino, will survey the gardens and landscape surrounding our historic structure. Travel back in time to hear the history of Hartford’s settlement, and learn how the Butler-McCook landscape and Main Street, Hartford have changed over the last five centuries. Rain or shine. Feeling artistic? Find inspiration in our historic garden and create a seasonal floral arrangement of your own design with a stunning assortment of plant materials, including some from the Butler-McCook Garden. Ghazi Omair & Friends (feat. DJ Z-Rex)
Butler-McCook House & Garden
Hartford Hip-Hop lyricist and poet Ghazi Omair will focus on the musical space between Hip-Hop and Jazz, with an evening of music, rap, poetry and dance. Joined by DJ Z-Rex, jazz musicians Matt Dwonszyk – Bass, Jonathan Barber – Drums, Taber Gable – Piano/Keys, Michael Pallas –Trombone, and Josh Bruneau – Trumpet, and dancers Chantal Edwards Matthews and Savana Jones, Ghazi will interweave his rap/poetry and conversations of social commentary between the songs.

The weather looks good for a bonfire so she is planning to get through the agenda by 5 so we can light the fire and pop the champagne then.
