Floral Design Workshop (virtual)
Apr 21 @ 2:00 pm

Please Sign Up for This Month’s Vertical Flower Arranging Class!

One of the joys of belonging to the West Hartford Garden Club is arranging flowers and other plant materials.  On Wednesday, April 21, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. the Floral Design Committee will be holding a class on the principles of vertical arrangements which will give you plenty of time to enjoy that very thing.

For newer members, this session qualifies as a basic class on vertical arrangements, so that you can meet your responsibilities as stated on page 11 of our Yearbook.

We will meet via Zoom.  We ask that you provide the flowers and/or greens, an upright vase, and either wet oasis (soaked overnight) or a flower-arranging frog.  You can purchase and/or use materials from your garden.  Be creative!  During the session there will be a brief explanation of the principles of vertical flower arrangement, then time for you to craft your arrangement and share it with your fellow Zoomers.  Attendance is free.

To get an idea of the possibilities, check the internet where there are many examples of gorgeous vertical arrangements.

Please sign up by April 19 by texting Nancy Lemega-Watt at 860.944.3122 or emailing her at nlemegawatt@aol.com.  Please call Nancy or Charlotte Massie (860.561.1616) if you have questions.
