Beyond Beginning Design Workshop â Table Designs (Wait List Only)
One of the Sections in a Flower Show that the public likes the best is Table Designs. Everyone can relate to a table that is perfectly coordinated, pleasing to look at and has a lovely floral design on it. In this workshop, you will learn the tips and techniques that make blue ribbon-winning exhibits. During the hands-on section of the workshop, you will learn to make a beautiful centerpiece that might help you win the blue at the next CT State Flower Show! (Picture shown is not the design that you will be making in the workshop. You do not have to bring dishes with you.)
Included is a lecture, followed by a hands-on workshop, and critique. Critiques are done in small groups by the instructor and other accredited judges to aid participants in improving their design skills. The enrollment fee ($40.00) covers all materials.
Please plan to give us at least one hour of your time during the morning. Please bring your favorite tools for weeding and pruning. One of us will arrive at the garden by 8:30 a.m. Need a ride or directions? Let one of us know when you reply.
PARKING: Parking will be in the newly paved lot next to the Amos Bull House on South Prospect Street. We encourage you to carpool as space is limited.
We plan to work if the rain is light. If it is pouring, you will get a cancellation call by 8:00 a.m.
