Join CT Hort for Farm to Flower:  A Tour of CT’s Blooming Industry at CT Flower Collective & Eddy Farm

Did you know that Connecticut has a very active local cut flower scene? Learn all about it firsthand with this exciting CT Hort summer event!

We will start the morning visiting the CT Flower Collective in Meriden at 10 am and get a guided tour from the manager and CT Hort member Jillian Shea. CTFC is a collaborative grower’s market, offering locally grown, specialty cut flowers to the floral industry. Both growers and buyer become members and then can sell and buy the amazing cut flowers that are being produced by 28 innovative flower farmers all over the state.

Our next stop will be a visit to Eddy Farm in Newington. Eddy Farm is a 60-acre, 4th generation family owned and operated farm just minutes from Hartford. They grow vegetables and cut flowers and sell their produce through their roadside farm stand. Their flowers are sold through the CT Flower Collective, at their farm stand, and via bouquet and specialty flower shares. We will be given a guided tour of Eddy Farm and cold drinks will be provided.
