WHGC Garden Tour – “Secret Gardens Revealed”

This is the Old Board/New Board luncheon.  You are welcome to arrive at Sharon’s home at 10:00 am, find a seat and get settled as the Board meeting will begin promptly at 10:30 am.

Please bring your favorite tools for weeding and pruning. A co-chair will arrive at the garden by 8:30 a.m.

PARKING: Parking will be in the paved lot next to the Amos Bull House on South Prospect Street. We encourage you to carpool as space is limited.

We plan to work if the rain is light. If it is pouring, you will get a cancellation call by 8:00 a.m.

SAVE THE DATE!
The West Hartford Garden Club will be installing a pollinator garden around the Conny the Whale Tail when it is installed on a berm opposite its former location at the Children’s Museum on Trout Brook Drive. Our friends at Cetacean Society International have invited us to join them for a whale of an opportunity!
 
On June 4, from 6 pm – 8 pm, Cetacean Society International (CSI) President Jessica Dickens invites members of the West Hartford Garden Club to an event with Katherine Owens, an artist and professor at the University of Hartford, who creates large scale animal installations (Kate currently has a large whale on exhibit at Bradley International Airport, which some of you may have seen)On June 4, Kate invites us to join a group to help sew together a Cuvier Beaked Whale at the University of Hartford. This should be fun!
