Members will be notified as to how to access Zoom via email.

Sign-in begins at 12 noon.  Business meeting at 12:15 pm.  Presentation by John Root from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.  John will have a power point presentation and a question and answer session.

 “Songbirds of the Northeast”

 Speaker:  John Root, Naturalist

John’s presentation will feature both photographs and recordings of our region’s songbirds. He will discuss their diet, social behavior, and other survival adaptations.

She has 24 baskets, 38 vases & 40+ planters (ceramic, plastic & metal) to give away.  So on

Friday, October 9 from 10:00AM to 4:00PM

They are all FREE or you can make a donation to benefit our West Hartford Garden Club.  Your choice.  Help me clear this stock.

Please plan to give us at least one hour of your time during the morning. Please bring your favorite tools for weeding and pruning. One of us will arrive at the garden by 8:30 a.m. Need a ride or directions? Let one of us know when you reply.

PARKING: Parking will be in the newly paved lot next to the Amos Bull House on South Prospect Street. We encourage you to carpool as space is limited.

We plan to work if the rain is light. If it is pouring, you will get a cancellation call by 8:00 a.m.
• If you are unable to work on your signup date, please let one of us know so that we can reschedule you and help you find a replacement for your shift.

FGCCT 91st Awards Meeting @ A Virtual Meeting via Zoom

Elizabeth Park Conservancy – CT Dahlia Society @ Elizabeth Park

The Connecticut Dahlia Society will cut the dahlias on Wednesday, October 28, at 12 Noon

Dahlias will be placed in wheelbarrows, and the public is welcome to take them home to enjoy! Visitors are asked to bring their own containers. 

Please do not arrive earlier than 12 noon.

Civic Projects Committee Meeting @ Spice Bush Swamp

We will meet in Spice Bush Swamp Park, Mountain Road, West Hartford, near the sign, the red oak and our other new plantings.

Please feel free to bring your own beverage.  We will be installing the sign then, rain or shine.
