JOIN THE CELEBRATION AT OUR 90th ANNUAL MEETING – APRIL 17, 2019

A wonderful experience awaits you at the Federation’s 90th Annual Meeting and Luncheon on April 17, 2019, at the lovely Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, CT. Click HERE for the Meeting Flyer.
Inge Venus will close her two-year term as President with the election and installation of new officers for the 2019 – 2021 term.  Also, in acknowledgement of President Venus’ theme, “Be a Conservation Champion,” by conserving water, assisting pollinators, and gardening organically, winners of the “Conservation Champion Award” will be recognized in the individual and the Club categories of either creating a Xeriscape garden or a Pollinator-friendly garden.

To add to our enjoyment of the day, award-winning designer and floral industry educator, Michael Derouin, will create unique floral designs, while sharing many of his favorite

designing tips and anecdotes. His program promises to entertain and inspire us. Michael is a second-generation floral designer, who was raised in his family’s florist shop. In 2007 he joined the acclaimed McArdle’s Florist and Garden Center of Greenwich where he is currently Director of Floral Design.   Michael is a member of The American Institute of Floral Designs, The American Academy of Floriculture, Professional Floral Communicators International, and the Canadian Academy of Floral Art. He serves on the Board of the Connecticut Florists Association, is Chairman of the Northeast Floral Expo, and has received numerous design awards, including 2001 Connecticut Designer of the Year. Michael’s distinctive design style is best described as “Modern Sophistication.” He has generously agreed to donate his completed designs to be included in the Drawings. For more information on Michael Derouin, visit his website.

The meeting commences at 10:00 a.m., but come early! Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. Enjoy coffee or tea while you peruse products from a superb group of vendors. And you can purchase your tickets for the drawings for vendor items, the table centerpieces, and Michael Derouin’s designs.
Make your reservation soon for what promises to be a delightful day. You may register and pay online on the FGCCT website. Up to 10 registrations can be made with a single payment. Or for Mail-in Registrations, click HERE.
Please note, if you won a silver award at the October 2018 Awards Meeting, you may return it at this meeting. I hope to see you there.
If you have any questions, please contact Nan Merolla, FGCCT Meetings Chair.
