Field Trip starts at 10am. You can meet us at the Cemetery if you prefer. The address is
453 Fairfield Avenue, Hartford, CT.
To save parking space, we are also meeting at St John’s Episcopal Church, 679 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford (where we have our General Membership Meetings) at 9:15 – 9:30, as a car is filled, people can leave. Remember, we have reservations for 20 at Casadoro, 2929 Berlin Turnpike, Newington, so key into whether your car plans to go to lunch afterwards.
The reservation is for noon, but the restaurant said we can come earlier. When you arrive at Casadoro’s, mention my name Billie Reese and that you are part of that reservation. We are ordering off the menu and sitting at tables close together.
Remember to bring $8 for the Tour of Cedar Hill Cemetery, tour will be roughly an hour long, wear comfortable shoes and clothing. If you are not on the list but would like to go, there is room for all. The Tour Guide will be using a Mic and welcomes large groups.
In 1999, Cedar Hill Cemetery Foundation was established to preserve the art, history and natural resources of Hartford’s historic Cedar Hill Cemetery in perpetuity.
The Foundation, which is a private, nonprofit organization, accomplishes its mission by restoring and preserving the historic architecture, restoring and preserving the historic memorial artworks, caring for the picturesque trees and plants, preserving the natural resources and wildlife, and offering arts, culture and heritage programming to the community.
Cedar Hill Cemetery & Foundation work together to preserve this beautiful, historic and unique place of remembrance to ensure it continues to welcome visitors for generations to come.
Lunch at Casadoro at 2929 Berlin Turnpike, Newington.
