“The World of Peonies” with Dan Furman

The World of Peonies covers basic botany and cultivation history of the various types of peonies—tree, herbaceous and intersectional—in China, Japan, and the U.S. The talk also includes propagation and cultivation how to, as well as ideas on using peonies in the landscape.
Dan Furman is co-owner of Cricket Hill Garden, a second-generation specialty nursery and forest farm in Thomaston, CT. Since joining the business in 2010, he has worked to expand the peony production program at the nursery, as well as diversify the stock grown to include unusual landscape and forest edibles.

His talk will be followed by a question & answer session. Questions must be typed in and the moderator will present the question to Dan for all to hear. Log in anytime between 7:15 and 7:30, and you will be let in from the Zoom ‘waiting room’ when the presentation is about to start, at about 7:30.
