Lee will take the mystery out of pruning\, so that lilacs\, roses\, all trees\, and shrubs can be pruned to look their best and be in vibrant health. After going over the many benefits of pruning\, he’ll show us the tools for the job and then\, most importantly\, discuss how plants respond to various types of pruning cuts. After that\, we enter the “real world” with the how\, why\, and when of pruning multiple groups of plants. Lee will bring his books to sell.

SUMMARY:Greens Workshop
DESCRIPTION:We are currently placing the Greens order as there is an early “Cut-off date.”  We traditionally order an adequate amount of Greens and accessories sufficient for 25 members to create Table Top arrangements. We supply arrangement containers\, but you may prefer to bring your own.\n\nWe encourage you to sign up early (a Sign-Up Sheet will be circulated at our first General Meeting on September 4).\n\nAs part of our standard policy\, your check of $35.00 is required to cover materials and secure the project start date. SUMMARY:Civic Projects - Seed Sorting Session
DESCRIPTION:Seed sorting for the 2026 Seed Library Opening is a fun weekly event from November through April. Sessions are held most Tuesdays from 12:30 pm – 3 pm in the Story Time Room at the Noah Webster Memorial Library Children’s Department\, beginning on November 4\, 2025. Parking is available at the Isham Lot at Blue Back Square – please do not pay at the kiosk in the garage or on the phone app. Rather\, just provide your license plate number to the Children’s Librarian and let the librarian know that you are with the seed library group for 3 hours. \nLooking forward to meeting again for a new season! Please call us with any questions or concerns.
